Description: Congenic substrain created by backcrossing congenic strain SS.MNS-(D2Chm25-D2Mit14)/Ayd strain into the parental Dahl Salt-sensitive (SS/Jr) strain, the F2 rats were genotyped with markers that resided in the region of interest, heterozygous rat was then backcrossed to SS/Jr rat to duplicate the fragment.
