Additional Information

RGD Curation Notes
Note Type Note Reference
strain_other This strain carries a recessive spontaneous mutant allele in which a single base (G) has been deleted in exon 4 of the Ugt1a1 gene. Microsatellite analysis of the background of this strain indicates that the Wistar stock background is now an inbred strain background which is designated as Gunn. 2292495
strain_other This strain carries a spontaneous mutation in which a single base (G) has been deleted in exon 4 of the Ugt1a1 gene. 2292495
strain_reproduction Homozygous females are sterile. Typical breeding scheme is homozygous or heterozygous male mated to heterozygous female. Higher pup numbers are seen with heterozygous x heterozygous breeding scheme. 2292495
