Description: The BBDP/WorSunn rats were crossed with inbred WF rats (that share the same MHC haplotype as BBDP/WorSunn rats but differ at the CD45 allele) obtained from Charles River. Introgression of the WF CD45 (RT7.2) allele into BBDP/WorSunn was performed by phenotypic selection of backcross breeders for >10 generations, followed by intercrossing. This led to WF RT7.2 allele introgressed onto the genetic background of BBDP rats and also called BBDP/WorSunn.WF-CD45 inbred line.
