Gene: Angptl8em1Kyo (angiopoietin-like 8; CRISPR/Cas9 induced mutant 1, Kyo) Rattus norvegicus
Analyze
Symbol: Angptl8em1Kyo
Name: angiopoietin-like 8; CRISPR/Cas9 induced mutant 1, Kyo
RGD ID: 127345127
Description: This Angptl8 allele was generated using the CRISPR/Cas9 system containing two guide RNAs (gRNAs) targeting exons 2 and 3 in the rat Angptl8 gene. A mixture of transcribed Cas9 and gRNAs was microinjected into F344/Stm rat zygotes. Rats were genotyped by PCR with the following primers, 5'-CATCTGTTGAGCAGGCAGAA-3'(sense) and 5'-GTTCAGTGGTGGCTTCCTTC-3' (antisense) for this allele. A 7-bp deletion mutation was identified.
ASSOCIATED WITH decreased body weight; decreased circulating triglyceride level; decreased circulating VLDL triglyceride level
Type: allele  of Angptl8
Is Marker For: Strains:   F344-Angptl8em1Kyo-/-   F344-Angptl8em1Kyo+/-
Latest Assembly: mRatBN7.2 - mRatBN7.2 Assembly
Position: No map positions available.
