Gene: Cryba1Nuc1Dbsa (crystallin, beta A1;Nuc1 mutant, Dbsa) Rattus norvegicus
Analyze
Symbol: Cryba1Nuc1Dbsa
Name: crystallin, beta A1;Nuc1 mutant, Dbsa
RGD ID: 126925758
Description: This spontaneous mutation was identified in the offspring of pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats purchased from Taconic Farms. This mutant exhibited abnormal eye phenotype including nuclear cataracts and was called Nuc1 rat. Sequencing of the mutant allele revealed a 27 base pair insertion in exon 6 of Cryba1.
ASSOCIATED WITH abnormal astrocyte morphology; abnormal autophagy; abnormal retina ganglion layer morphology; ASSOCIATED WITH cataract; microphthalmia; Reticular Dystrophy of Retinal Pigment Epithelium
Type: allele  of Cryba1
Is Marker For: Strains:   SD-Cryba1Nuc1Dbsa
Latest Assembly: mRatBN7.2 - mRatBN7.2 Assembly
Position: No map positions available.
