A calculated measurement in which the number of lymphocytes expressing surface CD8 antigen is divided by the number of lymphocytes expressing a surface antigen recognised by R73, and presented as a ratio, fraction, quotient or percentage. R73 is a monoclonal antibody that appears to be specific for a constant determinant of the rat alpha/beta heterodimeric T cell receptor.
