Definition:reduced concentration in the blood of troponin, a complex of three contractile regulatory proteins (troponin C, T and I) that control the calcium mediated interactions between actin and myosin in cardiac and skeletal muscles; in humans, cardiac-specific troponins I and T are regarded as the preferred biomarkers for the diagnosis of myocardial infarction due to their unique specificity for myocardial cell injury/necrosis
Synonyms:exact_synonym: reduced circulating troponin level
