Comment:The rodent trachea contains C-shaped incomplete cartilaginous rings that vary in number between mice (15-18) and rats (20-25). A total of 15-20 incomplete U-shaped cartilaginous rings support the human trachea. {xref="ISBN:978-0-12-802900-8"}
