MAMMALIAN PHENOTYPE - ANNOTATIONS

The Mouse Adult Gross Anatomy Ontology and Mammalian Phenotype Ontology are downloaded weekly from the Mouse Genome Informatics databases at Jackson Laboratories (ftp://ftp.informatics.jax.org/pub/reports/index.html). For more information about these ontologies, see the MGI Publications Page at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/other/publications.shtml.

Accession:MP:0003111 term browser browse the term
Definition:any structural anomaly of a membrane-bounded organelle of eukaryotic cells in which chromosomes are housed and replicated; in most cells, the nucleus contains all of the cell's chromosomes except the organellar chromosomes, and is the site of RNA synthesis and processing, but in some species, or in specialized cell types, RNA metabolism or DNA replication may be absent
Synonyms:exact_synonym: abnormal nuclear compartment morphology
 broad_synonym: abnormal nucleus morphology
