MEASUREMENT METHODS - ANNOTATIONS

The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. For more information about these vocabularies please see Shimoyama et al. Three ontologies to define phenotype measurement data. Front Genet. 2012;3:87. Definition:A method which quantifies the catalytic effect exerted by ceruloplasmin in a specified sample of blood. The rate of formation of the colored oxidation product is proportional to the concentration of serum ceruloplasmin when a correction is made for nonenzymatic oxidation of p-phenylenediamine (PPD).
Synonyms:exact_synonym: blood PPD oxidase activity assay
