Comment:The common iliac artery originates from the aorta and divides into the internal and external iliac arteries, supplying oxygenated blood to the lower extremities (via the external iliac artery), the pelvis and its viscera (via internal iliac artery) as well as the peritoneum, psoas major muscle, ureter, and surrounding tissues.
