Definition:Small nodules of enamel on the root of a tooth.
Comment:Enamel pearls can typically not be seen on X-rays but need direct visualization. The pearls can be present on the surface of the dentine or cement of deciduous teeth, with a frequency of 33% or on the roots of maxillary molars, with a frequency of 1.2%.
