Definition:The length of a line which crosses a transverse view of a renal afferent arteriole, passing through its center and ending on either side at the outer surface of the arteriole wall. A renal afferent arteriole is one of the blood vessels that branch from the kidney interlobular artery and conveys blood to the glomerular capillaries.
