Definition:A measurement in which the number of individuals in a study population that develop a Pasteurellaceae infection within a determined period of time are counted. A Pasteurellaceae infection is the invasion and colonization of one or more tissues in the body by any bacterial species of the family Pasteurellaceae, a large family of Gram-negative bacteria including the genera Pasteurella and Haemophilus, some of which are pathogenic.
