Definition:A calculated measurement in which the amount of albumin in a specified sample of urine or the amount of albumin excreted into the urine in a specified period of time is divided by the amount of total protein in that sample of urine or the amount of total protein excreted into the urine in that period of time, and the result presented as a ratio, fraction, quotient or percentage.
