CLINICAL MEASUREMENT - ANNOTATIONS

The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. Definition:Left ventricle end-diastolic wall stress (LVED-WS) is a calculated measurement of the force acting against the left ventricle wall at the end of diastole, that is when the heart muscle is maximally relaxed, and usually corresponds to its largest diameter. It is calculated by multiplying ventricular pressure by ventricular radius and dividing by 2 times the wall thickness. It is commonly referred to as the Law of Laplace.
