Term:
calculated serum high density lipoprotein cholesterol level
A measurement of the amount of high density lipoprotein cholesterol in serum which has been normalized, adjusted or derived by a mathematical process or computation. Cholesterol is a eukaryotic sterol that in higher animals is the precursor of bile acids and steroid hormones and a key constituent of cell membranes, is carried in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) molecules.
