The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. For more information about these vocabularies please see Shimoyama et al. Three ontologies to define phenotype measurement data. Front Genet. 2012;3:87. A calculated measurement in which the value of the E wave (that is, the velocity of the blood flow across the mitral valve during passive filling of the left ventricle in early diastole) is divided by the value of the A wave (that is, the velocity of the blood flow across the mitral valve during active filling of the left ventricle caused by atrial contraction in late diastole).
