blood band neutrophil count to total leukocyte count ratio
A calculated measurement in which the number of band neutrophil granulocytes is divided by the total number of all white blood cells in a specified sample of peripheral venous blood, and the result presented as a ratio, fraction, quotient or percentage. A band neutrophil is an immature neutrophil with a horse-shoe or parallel-sided shaped nucleus and represents the final stage of differentiation before the mature segmented neutrophil.
