The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. Definition:Any value resulting from the quantification of a morphological or physiological parameter of one or more of the cells of the immune system, a complex set of interconnected and interdependent cellular and molecular components having the primary functions of distinguishing self from not self and of defense against foreign organisms or substances. A cell is a membrane-enclosed protoplasmic mass constituting the smallest structural unit of an organism that is capable of independent functioning.
