A measurement of the amount of lipoprotein(s) in serum, the clear liquid that separates from blood after it has clotted completely, i.e. blood plasma from which fibrinogen has been removed, which has been normalized, adjusted or derived by a mathematical process or computation. Lipoprotein refers to any of a group of conjugated proteins that have at least one lipid component.
