A calculated measurement in which the number of CD4-positive T lymphocytes of the T helper 1 type in a specified sample of blood is divided by the number of CD4-positive T lymphocytes of the T helper 2 type in the same sample and the result presented as a ratio, fraction, quotient or percentage.
