A mixture of rac-6-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)-m-toluic acid and rac-6-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)-p-toluic acid in the ratio 3:2. The compounds are herbicidally-active metabolites of the proherbicide imazamethabenz-methyl (a mixture of the corresponding methyl esters), which is used to control grasses and other weeds in winter cereal crops.
