Cre Expressing Rat

Hi everyone, Does anyone know of a tissue specific Cre expressing rat? I see the forum hasn't been used in a while. Perhaps it is time to restore the rat to his proper place! -aaron

"fuzzy" and CR-hairless rats

I want to obtain a rat derived from the Crl:CD-hairless line that Charles River used to sell (but seem to have discontinued). I also am looking for a rat derived from the Hsd:FUZZY-fz line that Harlan used to sell (but seem to have discontinued). Any help will be greatly appreciated!

mazes!!

I was wondering if anybody has had anykind of maze made, and where they got it. I just priced out one at www.getahugetank.com made of acrylic. This is going to be something that will be used for a long time and be interchangeable to keep the rats on the their toes. I think i got a good price but would like to know if anyone else has done this and what you have found. These are the dimensions 3 levels that can be locked into place with interchangeable inner walls and entrance and exit points that can also be changed. each level measuring 12' x 8' x 8" made with 1/2" acrylic so all 3 stacked together would be 2' Tall

I am looking for a rat model which shows about age related changes in adult neurogenesis or maybe adult neurogenesis at either SVZ or SGZ being fluctuating the most comparing other strains? Could you suggest some strains?
